So, I'm sure you're either in one of a couple of states: you're either simply, blah or unchanged, happy, sad or depressed, or confused. Personally, I believe these emotions come from when you focus too much on the main things at hand all the time. Sometimes, it's okay to break free, have some fun, and enjoy the little things, silly things, that you didn't think could really give you a great day.
It's finals week for my friends and I, and everyone is a bit stressed. School, being cooped up thanks to the weather, it works wonders on our minds. We decided to have a day to just go to the mall and act like complete idiots. It was great.
First off, I've been the the mall many times, and done many of the same things, but they weren't quite as interesting. We rode on 25 cent kiddie rides, we went to Spencers and got dirty looks for not quite being over 18, we were pretty much obnoxious everywhere we went. I'm obnoxious many times, so why did this seem so much more fun?
Because my friends and I were distracted. Not once did any of us think about ending a marking period or anything stressfull. We focused on the now, the things we were doing at the moment, and not the overall situations we were in.
So, next time you find yourself stressed, or unhappy or anything of that sort
forget it all for a while. Go to a mall. Get a million dirty looks for being obnoxious. It's fun. I promise.
