I was a little iffy at first about starting a blog. What would I write? What's the point? Would anyone even want to read it? Well, I finally decided to go for it. I find myself captivated by the strangest, random things, and it's a pleasure I wish I could share with the world. The name, Sunshine, Dandylions and Rocks, is comprised of the random things that made me smile today. Sunshine, itself, has always made me happy, and in the middle of the winter in the northern hemisphere, it's something I miss dearly. Thinking back to the spring, and the sunshine, I remembered my joy for dandylions. It amazes me how a plant declared a weed, a disturbance to gardens, can be so beautiful in it's first stage, and then go on to represent hope on it's second stage. I'm sure everyone has at least once in their life picked up a dandylion, made a wish, and attempted to blow every single needle off in one breath. Just the sight of those needles being carried away by the wind make me hopefull. And rocks? Well, It's an interest I share with not so many people. I don't mean simply collecting rocks, I mean going up to a large boulder sticking out of the ground and classyfing the rock, and appreciating what it had to do to get there. One of my dreams is to go to the Grand Canyon, and see all the layers upon layers of rocks that are exposed there. Each layer represents a different part of Earth's story.
The dictionary defines ana as "a collection of miscellaneous information about a particular subject, person, place, or thing." That is exactly what I'm hoping this blog will be. I enjoy the small things in life, something I wish everyone can learn to do. Oh, and, my name actually is Ana, But that's a minor detail.
